Musashi
One of the most famous Samurai was probably Musashi. In his Samurai life he did many things, including his book: “Book of five Rings”
Yagyu Munenori
Yagyu Munenori was alive in the same time period as Musashi. He achieved the only goal that Musashi was not able to do-that of sword tutor the Shogun. Munenori was a key figure to the Shogun.
Tokogawa Shogun's
The rulers of Japan during this time were the Tokugawa Shoguns. Through an unbroken line of fifteen Shoguns, the Tokugawa clan governed Japan and shaped it's destiny.
Ryoma Sakamoto
Apparently Ryoma Sakamoto was one of the ‘last samurai’. He went to the USA to learn about the foreign cultures and when he came back to Japan he was a major part in the meiji reform and government change.
